This is a short list - there are so many more!
- Severe glare, halos, starbursts, or loss of contrast sensitivity, Particularly problematic for night driving.
- Permanent loss of vision
- Vision remains worse than before surgery even with glasses or contact lenses.
- Corneal ectasia
- Retinal detachment (especially in RLE patients under the age of 50)
- Flap displacement, folds (striae), or improper healing.(LASIK)
- Severe dry eyes - for life, not just a few months!
- Chronic pain, burning, visual fluctuation, and reduced quality of life.
- Corneal Neuralgia
- Corneal haze (especially after LASEK/PRK)
- Overcorrection or undercorrection, requiring further surgery, glasses, or contact lenses. Often impossible or difficult to fully correct
You only get one pair of eyes, don’t let Optimax ruin them!
